Neutered Male, 5.5 years old.

Hazel is a sweet, affectionate Maltipoo who who was raised during the covid period and can be shy when meeting new people at first. Once he warms up, he becomes very loving and enjoys constant attention, often seeking belly rubs and closeness with his person. Hazel is active and playful, enjoying fetch, toys, and time outdoors, especially in grassy areas. He can be sensitive to loud noises such as fireworks and may be startled. 

Hazel is house trained and knows several basic commands, including sit, lay down, give paw, wait, and cues like “ walk” and “potty”. He is very food motivated and enjoys treats as well as dog safe foods like carrots, eggs, bananas, blueberries, watermelon, bread, and string cheese. 

Hazel is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He seems to experience some paw licking as an allergic reaction, and he may need to wear a cone at times to prevent irritation. This has been managed with apoquel and routine care. He would benefit from further allergy testing.  Hazel will do best in a calm, stable home where he can receive consistent attention and companionship.
